Former military area in Milovice was transformed into a German prison camp, where both tough guys were held captive in the film. There used to be an actual prison camp in the past - during WW I, Russian, Serbian and Italian prisoners of war were jailed here. Over five thousand of them are buried in a military graveyard nearby.

You can head to the location by taking the educational trail named Observatory (Pozorovatelna), which will acquaint you with the history of the place that was inaccessible for decades, as well as with many local natural rarities. 

The popular music festival Votvírák takes place at the Boží Dar Airport every year.
